Electricity Generation Power Asset Financial Model - Displacing a Coal-fired Power Station with a Natural Gas Power Station
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I require a financial modeller who is highly experienced in the energy sector, specifically electricity generation and distribution. The main objective will be to develop a financial model for a project feasibility study.
Specifically:
a) Given a capacity mechanism (payment) of $x/MW, 5 % capacity factor, what is the LCOE to target for a rental power solution (gas fired)... given some assumptions on gas supply
b) Outcome includes a NPV of cash flow for floating power by displacing the coal fired power station.
c) Review more data which can be useful, some brief background and critical note on the noise around key market players
Key tasks include:
- Analyzing historical financial data, which I'll provide
- Developing a high level financial model
Ideal Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience as a Financial Modeller
- In-depth knowledge of electricity generation and distribution
- Excellent numerical and analytic skills
- Ability to create detailed reports and financial forecasts.
Previous experience with energy sector modeling is advantageous.
