Econometric / Emprical Finance Research Assistant Needed
Budget: ₹5,000 – ₹15,000 INR
I'm seeking a detail-oriented research assistant and quantitative data analyst to support an applied econometrics research project.
The work is data- and analysis-intensive, so strong hands-on statistical skills and methodological rigour matter more than anything else. Ability to clearly document the findings is also important.

+Solid grounding in panel data econometrics — fixed/random effects, the Hausman test, and related diagnostics
+Familiarity with one or more of: mediation analysis, bootstrapping, threshold/non-linear regression, interaction/moderation models, and system-GMM
+Comfort with panel data diagnostics (cross-sectional dependence, serial correlation, heteroscedasticity, unit-root testing)
+Experience sourcing, cleaning, and constructing datasets from macro-financial databases (e.g., IMF, World Bank) and handling missing data and unbalanced panels
Ideal candiate will be focused on buliding long-term working relationship (over the next 2 years) with:
-A background in finance, economics, or a related quantitative discipline (banking/financial-stability topics a plus)
-Ability to document methods clearly and produce clean, reproducible code and well-formatted results tables
Strong academic writing / referencing skills (APA) and attention to citation accuracy
-Reliability, clear communication, and the ability to work independently to deadlines
-Experience with academic/thesis-level research and journal-quality standards
Please share your CV, a brief note on relevant projects, and a sample of prior work done.
