Data Science Manager for Finance
Budget: $750 – $1,500 USD
As a growing finance company, we are seeking a Data Science Manager with 3-5 years of experience in the industry. The ideal candidate will not only be proficient in data analysis and visualization, but also be able to lead and guide our team of data scientists that focus on digital/ecommerce solutions such as Product Recommendation Systems, Product Search, Pricing, and Incentives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leading and managing a team of data scientists focused on finance
- Overseeing the project planning and execution
- Implementing data analysis and visualization techniques to interpret complex data sets
Ideal Candidate:
- 3-5 years of experience in data science, with a focus on finance
- Strong leadership and managerial skills
- Proficient in data analysis and visualization
- Adept at project planning and execution to meet business objectives
- Experience implementing open-source ML libraries (Tensorflow, XGBoost, LightGBM, etc)
- Experience with deployment, continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous training of machine learning models
- Experience in model building tools like Maven, Gradle, Jenkins.
- Experience with coding in programming languages including Python, Java, Scala, Spark
- Experience using cloud infrastructure such as GCP, AWS, Azure
- Experience developing custom models based on in-depth understanding of underlying data, data structures, and business problems to ensure analytics deliverables meet stakeholders need
- Experience developing state of the art algorithms using machine learning, statistical and optimization methods to power various aspects of highly complex business models
- Experience working directly with cross-functional teams such as leadership, product management, design and engineering
- Strong problem-solving skills with an emphasis on product development
