Call for Research Assistance: Power Calculations

Budget: $10 – $30 USD

We are seeking a qualified researcher to perform power calculations for multiple outcomes of a university experiment and to conduct a comprehensive literature review.

Experiment Outcomes:

Economic preferences: risk-taking, patience, reciprocity, altruism, mathematical skills, procrastination (measured using validated items from the Global Preference Survey).

Motivations for studying economics: interest in social challenges and economic topics, assessed via customized survey questions.

Social and political attitudes: opinions on science, climate change, AI, equality, competition, governance, political interest/ideology, using items from WVS Wave 8 and EVS 2017.

Requirements:

Power calculations must be presented in a written report (Word or PDF).

Literature review section must include summaries of prior studies and point estimates from similar research (peer-reviewed, indexed journals only).

Both parametric and non-parametric methods are allowed.

Ideal Skills:

Experience with power calculations

Familiarity with economic surveys and social attitudes research

Strong academic writing skills to produce a clear, well-structured report
