Squarespace Website Development for Islamic E-Store
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Job Description:
Please read the full job description before applying or messaging. Only reach out if you’re comfortable with the stated budget.
I'm looking for a professional web developer with solid Squarespace experience to help me build a website for my Islamic digital store. The store will sell digital products only — no shipping, no physical items. These will include things like eBooks, planners, journals, and downloadable PDFs.
I already have the Squarespace account set up — I will add you as a contributor and provide full editing access.
Note: Logo file has been attached to this project.
Important Note About Product Content:
At this stage, none of the digital products are ready yet — you won’t be uploading actual files or handling product content. However, the entire structure, layout, and design should reflect the long-term vision of the brand.
Here’s the vision:
Barakah Press will offer spiritually grounded, minimalist digital tools for Muslims — such as du‘ā and adhkār trackers, ibādah planners, Sunnah checklists, Ramadan bundles, and habit reflection journals.
In the long term, the store will also serve students of Islamic sciences, offering practical, organized digital resources tailored to their academic and spiritual journeys — such as memorization trackers, study planners, and mutūn revision tools.
The layout you create should be clean, calm, and ready to display these kinds of tools attractively when they are uploaded in the near future.
Key Features Required:
Product search and filtering system to help customers easily locate items
Integration of a customer review and rating system to build trust and transparency
Secure payment gateway setup (Stripe or PayPal preferred)
Clean digital product display (for printables, trackers, journals, etc.)
Footer with navigation links and social media icons
Donation Setup
Mobile responsive design throughout
Design Preferences:
Modern and minimalist aesthetic
Clean lines, simple navigation, uncluttered layout
Neutral color palette (black, white, beige, olive, soft gold)
Visual style should reflect a spiritually grounded, universal Islamic brand
Align with Barakah Press’s ethos:
“Simple steps towards sacred goals”
Note: I don’t have a specific design or layout in mind. I’d like you to use your creative judgment to make the site look polished, clean, and professional. Think of it as: “make it look nice, simple, and good.”
About the Brand:
Barakah Press is a digital store offering minimalist, spiritually grounded tools and printables for Muslims — from general worshippers to students of knowledge.
Practical tools grounded in tradition — for seekers at every stage.
Planned product examples include:
The Du‘ā Daily – a daily adhkār tracker
Barakah Planner – a life planner centered on spiritual routine
Sunnah Steps – a daily Sunnah habit checklist
Forty Nights Journal – a 40-day reflection and habit journal
Social Media for Footer Integration:

Style Inspiration (for Reference):
Here are five Islamic digital stores that reflect the clean and spiritual aesthetic I’m aiming for:
Salam Prints – www.salamprints.com
The Dua Journal – www.theduajournal.com
The Ummah Shop – www.theummahshop.com
Ilma Education – www.ilmaeducation.com/shop
The Organized Muslimah – www.theorganizedmuslimah.com
These are for inspiration — the final design should reflect the unique tone of Barakah Press.
Ideal Freelancer:
Strong portfolio of Squarespace websites (please include examples)
Experience with digital product-based stores
Comfortable integrating secure payment solutions
Ability to create intuitive, user-friendly interfaces
Bonus: cultural sensitivity or familiarity with Islamic design preferences
Budget Notice – Please Read Carefully:
I am not prepared to pay more than $35 for this project.
Only apply if you're comfortable with that rate.
If your work is exceptional or truly unmatched, I may consider a slight increase.
Please do not apply or message unless you’re fully aware of this.
