Polish My Squarespace Author Site

I already have a bare-bones Squarespace build in place for my author platform—just three pages: About, Books, and Contact. Now I want that skeleton turned into something that looks professionally designed and cohesive with my fiction brand.

Here’s what I’m aiming for: a modern, edgy feel that leans into dark tones without becoming gloomy. The homepage should let the author photo take centre stage while still teasing visitors with striking jacket-cover thumbnails that click straight through to their respective Amazon pages. All copy is ready to paste in; I’ll supply the photo assets, book covers, and any additional blurbs you might need.

The job revolves around styling and layout rather than heavy development. I’d like you to:

• Select or refine a Squarespace template that suits a darker, contemporary palette
• Arrange About, Books, and Contact pages so navigation feels effortless on desktop and mobile
• Integrate the Squarespace form block for a clean contact form, routed to my email
• Optimise all imagery and make sure links to Amazon are unmistakably clear
• Fine-tune fonts, spacing, and hover states to match that sleek, modern vibe

Once the design is locked, a quick walkthrough or short Loom video showing me how to tweak text or swap images in the future would be appreciated. Deliverables are the live site and any design notes or custom CSS you’ve used.
