PROJECT OVERVIEW
I am looking for an experienced Squarespace 7.1 designer to professionally refine and improve my existing website:
www.receptionistas.com
The website has already been built and most of the content, branding, pages and imagery are in place.
This is not a website rebuild or a complete redesign.
The project is to improve the presentation, consistency, spacing, typography, responsiveness and overall professional finish of the existing Squarespace website.
PLATFORM REQUIREMENT
The website must remain on Squarespace 7.1.
Please do not propose rebuilding it in WordPress, Webflow, Wix, Shopify or another platform.
MAIN OBJECTIVES
• Improve the overall visual polish of the website
• Create more consistent spacing and alignment
• Improve typography and text hierarchy
• Refine the homepage and other key pages
• Improve the positioning and presentation of images
• Improve buttons and calls to action
• Ensure sections feel balanced and uncluttered
• Improve mobile and tablet layouts
• Resolve obvious formatting or responsiveness issues
• Make the website feel more premium, trustworthy and professional
SCOPE OF WORK
The successful freelancer will be expected to:
1. Review the current Squarespace website
2. Refine page layouts and section spacing
3. Improve headings, body text and typography consistency
4. Improve image sizing, cropping and positioning
5. Improve button styling, sizing and alignment
6. Improve the homepage hero section
7. Check and refine the main website pages
8. Improve desktop, tablet and mobile responsiveness
9. Correct any obvious visual inconsistencies
10. Use native Squarespace settings wherever reasonably possible
11. Use lightweight CSS only where necessary
12. Provide a copy of any CSS added, with brief notes explaining its purpose
IMPORTANT TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Squarespace 7.1 experience is essential
• Native Squarespace blocks and styling should be used wherever possible
• No unnecessary JavaScript
• No heavy custom coding
• No third-party page builder
• No platform migration
• The finished website must remain easy for me to edit and manage myself
• Any CSS must be clean, lightweight and documented
