Python NGO Accounting Platform
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
I’m building a lightweight, purpose-built accounting platform in Python for our non-profit and need a developer who can take it from concept to a clean, test-covered codebase.
Core features I must see in the first release are expense tracking, donation management, and clear, exportable financial reports (PDF and CSV preferred). The interface should support user roles with different permissions—at minimum an admin level for full control and a staff level restricted to day-to-day data entry and report viewing.
Code quality, readability, and solid documentation are essential because the tool will be maintained by different volunteers over time. for field level accounting, there should be cash book management required,
Deliverables
• Fully functional Python application with the three features above
• Role-based access control wired into the UI and database models
• Installation guide plus brief user manual (Markdown or PDF)
• Basic automated test suite proving the critical flows work
I’ll review work on a running demo server first, then we’ll package everything in a Git repository for hand-off. If this sounds straightforward to you, let’s talk timeline and milestones.
