Debug Python eBay Bidding Bot

Job ID: 39758932

Budget: $10 – $11 USD

My existing Python script automatically places bids for me on eBay, even handling several listings at the same time. It worked flawlessly until eBay’s most recent interface update; since then the bot either fails to pull the right price or never submits the bid. I need a developer who can walk me through what changed, update the code so automated bidding is reliable again, and explain the fixes clearly so I can maintain it going forward.

Current stack and approach
• Python 3.10
• Selenium WebDriver with Chrome
• A lightweight SQLite file that stores item URLs, max bid settings, and timestamps

What I’m looking for
1. Identify why price and bid elements are no longer found or accepted after the UI update.
2. Refactor selectors / logic so the bot can still place bids on multiple items simultaneously without breaching eBay limits.
3. Add concise inline comments or a short README summarising the changes, new selectors, and any timing or captcha-avoidance tweaks.
4. Spend a short screenshare session walking me through the modifications and answering questions so I can troubleshoot future updates myself.

Success for me means pressing “run”, seeing accurate current prices scraped, and watching the script submit my predefined maximum bids across several listings without error or page time-outs.

If you’ve already tackled eBay layout or API changes before, that’s a plus—let me know.

Start your bid with "EBBAY SuperMAN" so I know you did read the detail, I need someone explain for me and fix issues or at least help me fixing them!
