Siemens PLC & WinCC Data-Logging Commissioning
Budget: ₹12,500 – ₹37,500 INR
A new Siemens-based material-handling line is ready for commissioning and I need a clean, well-structured PLC project that focuses on data acquisition and logging. The controllers are Siemens S7 (TIA Portal) and the HMI layer will sit on WinCC (Unified or Classic—whichever you are most comfortable with).
Core objective
Capture and store real-time Operational status from drives, conveyors, and sensors so that maintenance and performance dashboards can draw from a reliable historical database. Inventory levels and movement tracking may be added later, so please structure tags and DBs with scalability in mind.
Scope of work
• Write the PLC logic that collects the required status bits, words, and alarms.
• Build WinCC screens for live visualization, manual overrides, and acknowledgement of faults.
• Configure an efficient logging mechanism—CSV, SQL, or WinCC archives—to ensure data is retained with time stamps and traceability.
• Provide a short commissioning guide and commented code so my in-house team can maintain the project going forward.
Acceptance criteria
1. Online test in TIA Portal showing all defined Operational status tags updating correctly.
2. WinCC screen navigates without errors and logs all events to the chosen repository.
3. One-shift (8-hour) logging test proves no data loss and file/DB sizes remain within expected bounds.
4. Delivered package includes source files, backups, and documentation.
