We are reaching out to request a quote for a Microsoft stored procedure that will generate a comprehensive material spend report for our organization. We require the ability to analyze the top X material SKUs based on their monetary value and determine their percentage contribution to the total material spend per month. Additionally, we need to examine the unit count purchased and price paid per unit for each item on a monthly basis, spanning the past three years.
The specific requirements for the material spend report are as follows:
Top Material SKUs and Percentage of Total Spend:
Identify the top X material SKUs based on their monetary value.
Determine the percentage of the total material spend per month that each SKU represents.
Monthly Unit Count and Price Paid:
Retrieve the unit count purchased and price paid per unit for each material SKU on a monthly basis.
Cover a time range of three years, providing data from the present month going back in time.
Year-over-Year Changes:
Calculate the year-over-year changes in both unit count and dollar spend for each material SKU.
Compare the data for the current year (e.g., 2022) with the previous year (e.g., 2021).
Additionally, provide year-to-date (YTD) comparisons, comparing the data for the current year up to the present date (e.g., April 23) with the same period in the previous year (e.g., April 22).

Deliverables: The stored procedure script, input parameters being number of SKU's to report on, from date, to date.
