Power BI Databricks SQL Support -- 2

Job ID: 39892592

Budget: $8 – $15 USD

I’m stepping into a senior Power BI developer role and need targeted project support as I build production-ready data models that pull from SQL databases housed in Azure Databricks. My immediate priority is the modeling layer inside Power BI—relationship design, star‐schema best practices, calculation groups, and DAX patterns that scale. To feed those models, I also need well-structured, performance-tuned SQL. Expect me to send raw tables, business logic, and edge-case scenarios; in return I’m counting on you for best-practice guidance, sample PBIX files, and complex query examples I can slot straight into Databricks notebooks or stored procedures.

Deliverables:
• A clean, documented Power BI data model (PBIX) that reflects the business rules I provide
• Optimized SQL scripts illustrating advanced joins, window functions, and incremental load techniques
• Short walkthrough notes or a quick Loom video so I understand the “why” behind each decision

Acceptance criteria:
1. The PBIX refreshes without errors against my Databricks SQL endpoint.
2. Model passes a basic performance test under DirectQuery and Import modes.
3. All SQL scripts return expected results in under the agreed runtime threshold.

No need to handle Excel or other cloud services—everything centers on SQL and Databricks. If you’re fluent in DAX, M, and query tuning and can explain choices clearly, we’ll be a great fit.
