Title: Development of a Production Management Database for Metal Fabrication Facility
Overview:
We are seeking a skilled freelancer to create a robust database system (preferably cloud-based, like SQL) to manage the operations of our metal fabrication facility. The system will streamline project management, part and assembly lists, outsourcing processes, and production scheduling across multiple machines.
Key Features Required:
Database Design:
Develop a relational database using SQL (preferably hosted on a cloud platform).
Ensure the integration of the database with Excel data exported from Tekla Software.
Data Management:
Capable of managing multiple projects (10 to 50 concurrently).
Each project will have its own:
Part List
Assembly List
Outsource Parts
Hardware List
Machine Management:
Define machine capabilities for the following processes:
Cutting (Band Saw 1, Band Saw 2, Laser Sheet, Tube Laser, Plasma)
Fit Up
Welding
Drilling
Quality Control (QC)
Packaging
Sand Blasting
Painting
Shipment
Production Planning and Scheduling:
Implement features for weekly and daily production planning.
Establish a scheduling system considering day and night shifts (2 shifts).
Allow for allocation of specific parts to the appropriate machines based on the project requirements.
User Interface:
Design a user-friendly interface for easy data entry and retrieval.
Include features for tracking progress on each task and machine use.
Reporting and Analytics:
Create reporting functionalities to provide insights into production efficiency, machine utilization, and progress.
Documentation and Support:
Provide detailed documentation for system use and maintenance.
Offer support for a specified duration after project completion for troubleshooting and guidance.

Skills Required:
Proven experience in database design and development, particularly with SQL and Access.
Familiarity with production management systems and processes in a manufacturing environment.
