Developer Needed for Rugby Analytics App

Build Rugby Live Stats App (Retool + Supabase)

Project Overview

I am building a **rugby live match analytics tool** for use during games.

The system allows:

* Live data entry during a match (tablet)
* Automatic calculation of KPIs
* Real-time dashboard for coaches

I have already:

* Designed the full data model (Supabase/Postgres schema is complete)
* Defined all events (Territory, Armour, Bunker, Strike)
* Written most SQL queries

I need a developer to **complete the Retool app build and ensure everything works smoothly**.

* **Frontend:** Retool
* **Backend:** Supabase (PostgreSQL)
* **Realtime:** Supabase + Retool refresh

### Scope of Work

#### 1. Connect Retool to Supabase

* Fix database connection (currently partially set up)
* Ensure secure and stable connection

#### 2. Build 3 screens in Retool

##### A. Match Setup Screen

* Select team
* Enter opponent + match details
* Select squad, starters, bench
* Create match record

##### B. Live Coding Screen (MOST IMPORTANT)

* Large tap buttons for events:

* 22m Entry / Exit
* Lineout / Scrum
* Tackle / Breakdown
* Gain Line / Launch
* Modal for event input
* Player selection
* Match clock + score display
* Undo last event
* Event feed (last 10 events)

##### C. Coach Dashboard

* Live score + time
* KPI cards:

* Territory
* Armour
* Bunker
* Strike
* Momentum chart
* Player stats table
* Set-piece summary

### 3. Wire Up SQL Queries

* Connect all UI components to existing queries
* Ensure:

* events insert correctly
* KPIs update live
* score updates automatically

### 4. Improve UX for Live Use

* Optimise for tablet & Mac keyboard use
* Minimise clicks (2–3 taps per event)
* Clean layout for quick entry

---

### Deliverables

* Fully working Retool app
* Connected to Supabase database
* Tested end-to-end (match setup → live coding → dashboard)
* Clean, maintainable structure

### Ideal Candidate

* Experience with **Retool + PostgreSQL**
* Experience building **internal dashboards or data tools**
* Strong understanding of **UX for fast data entry**
* Bonus: sports analytics experience

### Budget

Open to proposals (fixed price preferred)

* This is an MVP but needs to be reliable for real match use
* I will provide:

* UI layout guidance
