Configurable Inventory & Dispatch Rules Engine

Project: Rules Engine for Inventory Replenishment & Dispatch Planning
We are looking for an experienced freelancer to build a configurable rules engine that automates inventory replenishment and dispatch planning across multiple warehouses and stores.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop logic to recommend target inventory levels per Store-SKU based on sales history, forecasts, GP, seasonality, inventory caps, and other configurable parameters.
Implement replenishment calculation rules (MBQ, max inventory, fill rate thresholds, GP thresholds, overrides, and coverage days).
Build warehouse-constrained dispatch planning logic including store prioritization, substitution rules, regional vs central allocation, and pack size constraints.
Ensure all rules are configurable (on/off, thresholds, weightages).
Generate structured outputs: replenishment recommendations and final dispatch plans, with daily reporting.
Deliverables:
Rules engine (preferably in Python, but open to suggestions)
Database schema for inputs/outputs
Daily reporting functionality
Documentation for setup and configuration
Skills Required:
Strong experience in rules engine or business logic automation
Python + SQL expertise
Knowledge of inventory/replenishment/dispatch systems
