Azure Solution Architect

Job description:
- Analyze, design, and lead implementation of business ETL workloads in a cloud-native way using Azure technologies
- Provide design artifacts for ChildFund IT, collaborate with ChildFund IT architecture team to ensure designs meet business needs and follow accepted standards
- Provide gap analysis, pro/con, costing considerations, and other decision support materials to IT leadership so that the right implementation approaches can be chosen.
-Lead reimplementation of business data workloads currently running in SSIS to run in a cloud native way in Azure.
- Provide knowledge and expertise in data engineering concepts (ETL, near-/real-time streaming, data structures, metadata and workflow management)
- Identify, design, and implement internal process improvements: automating manual processes, optimizing data delivery, re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, etc..
- strong team player with a can-do attitude.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with client
Requirement:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in data engineering in Microsoft ecosystem (Azure/SQL/SSIS).
- Expert working SQL knowledge and experience working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases.
- Understanding of existing data models and developing new data models across multiple areas like digital applications (OLTP), data warehouse (OLAP) and data lake
-Expert level experience in database performance tuning across SQL databases/Azure SQL
- Expertise building and optimizing ‘big data’ data pipelines, architectures and data sets.
- Must have extensive hands-on experience working on database like Oracle, MSSQL
- Technical expertise with data models, data mining, and segmentation techniques
- Strong analytic skills related to working with structured/unstructured datasets.
- Proficient in code versioning tools, such as Git and management of work items in Azure DevOps
-Architecture certifications/MS partnerships or equivalent certifications to ensure proficiency in architecture diciplines related to MS data technologies
- Having working experience in ETL tools like Jitterbit, MuleSoft etc.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- .NET development/architecture experience, Object Oriented programming experience,
- SalesForce Data experience
- Service oriented architectures/microservice experience
- Messaging oriented experience (message bus/service bus)
