Automate Remote Reporting

I want to automate repetitive weekly reporting tasks that I am running manually. I remotely connect to store SQL Server databases to generate a sales report in a specific formatted text file that I then upload to a SFTP site. Database connection credentials and SFTP credentials vary by store. Currently I have Hamachi VPN installed at each store location and I manually run connect via ODBC and run Crystal Reports to generate a formatted text file that I then manually upload to SFTP site(s). I want to automate as much of this as possible.
