API DEVELOPER

I am looking for an experienced API Developer who can help me build the API I need. I've done a bit of research but I'm open to suggestions when it comes to the best language to use for development. I'm most comfortable with VB.Net, C#, VBA, SQL Server and MS Office combined with Java script, SQL, MySQL, however I am open to other languages if they will work better for the job. Additionally, I have an idea of what API functionality and features I require but I'm open to suggestions. Integration with existing systems and platforms is not required for this project.
