Statistician for peer review on project

Job ID: 35759310

Budget: £20 – £250 GBP

We are looking for a dedicated statistician who is willing to help us look over a project we have designed to test various methodologies to see how it leads to a better result.

This project pertains to the firearms industry, where we will be testing different handloading methods (assembling one’s own ammunition versus making it) and how that yields a certain result on target.

With the multifaceted and complexity of handloaded ammunition, there is a need for a system that allows oneself to determine if changing one variable among the handloading processes does yield a better result on target.

Example: does adding neck lubricants before seating projectiles make ammunition more precise on target? Does it make velocity more consistent? Does it do anything else?

For this project, we are looking for someone to look over the current project we have and make recommendations on testing strategies with the goal of minimizing samples required while ensuring the results are statistically significant with a high degree of confidence.

Preferences given towards testing strategies that can be easily communicated to a larger community so they may submit data to a larger repository for analysis at a later date

We do have a ballistician and other industry experts ready, we are looking for a statistician as the last piece of the puzzle.
