You are required to write a brief report comparing the precipitation patterns at four different
locations in Ireland using descriptive statistics. Historical weather data is available from Met Eireann.
You should select four different weather stations in different parts of Ireland that have precipitation
data available for at least 40 years.
Use descriptive statistics to describe the measures of central tendency measures of dispersion and
frequency distribution for each dataset.
Your report must include:-
• an overview of the data used for the analysis including a map of Ireland showing the location
of the weather stations chosen for your analysis.
• Descriptive statistics for each of the precipitation data at the weather stations from the last
40 years. This must include tables and charts where relevant.
• A discussion based on the results from your analysis of how the precipitation vary between
geographic locations.
• A brief discussion of any limitations of the data used.
