Spring Boot E-commerce API Development

I’m building a B2C mobile & web app focused on e-commerce and I need a solid back-end foundation. Your task is to craft a Spring Boot REST API and the accompanying MySQL database schema, keeping performance, scalability, and security front and center. Same API will be consumes by frontend stack (React or angular).
Core scope
• Product catalog endpoints: category, product, price, inventory, search, filtering, and pagination.
• Payment gateway integration: clean service layer ready to plug into common providers (e.g., Razorpay, Stripe).
• Account management: JWT-based authentication, role-based authorization, password policies, and refresh tokens.
Quality expectations
• Follow Spring Boot best practices (layered architecture, DTOs, exception handling).
• Write clean, well-commented code that passes static analysis (Sonar or similar).
• Optimize queries with proper indexing and use connection pooling.
• Guard against OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities.
Deliverables
1. Complete Spring Boot project (Gradle/Maven) with source code.
2. MySQL DDL scripts and seed data.
3. Swagger/OpenAPI documentation covering every endpoint.
4. Postman collection for quick testing.
5. Unit and basic integration tests (JUnit + Mockito).
