Spring Boot Developer for AI-Driven Health SaaS Platform (Next.js Frontend)
- About the Project
We’re developing a digital health platform that uses AI to deliver reliable, personalized education and self-care guidance for people living with chronic pain.
Our system blends structured clinical rules with intelligent language models, creating a bridge between healthcare knowledge and everyday patient communication.
The frontend is being developed in Next.js, and we’re now looking for a skilled Spring Boot developer to help design and implement the backend layer for scalability, data processing, and API delivery.
- Core Responsibilities
• Build and structure the backend using Spring Boot 3
• Design RESTful APIs for chat, user management, and AI communication
• Connect to PostgreSQL (optionally with pgvector for embeddings)
• Implement secure authentication and session management (Spring Security / JWT)
• Integrate with Gemini or OpenAI APIs for AI-based text generation
• Prepare endpoints for Next.js frontend integration
- Tech Stack
• Backend: Java 21+, Spring Boot 3.x, Spring Data JPA, Spring Security
• Database: PostgreSQL (with vector search support)
• Frontend: Next.js (already in progress)
• AI Integration: Gemini or OpenAI API (for chat and retrieval)
• DevOps (optional): Docker, AWS or DigitalOcean for deployment
- Deliverables
• Complete Spring Boot backend project with modular structure (controllers, services, repositories)
• Database schema for user profiles, chat sessions, and knowledge ingestion
• Endpoints for chat initiation and AI message handling
• Configuration for local and production environments
• Brief documentation for API usage and environment setup

The final product should feel like a professional health SaaS, not just a chatbot.
