Spring Boot API Functional Testing

Job ID: 40583736

Budget: ₹3,000 – ₹5,000 INR

I have a Java application split into two Spring Boot services:

• a web-based backend that exposes REST APIs over MongoDB
• a standalone CLI client that consumes those endpoints

I need thorough functional testing focused on the API layer. Using Postman against the backend (and the CLI where it helps reproduce flows), please verify that every call involved in data retrieval, data updates, authentication and authorisation behaves exactly as documented. Response payloads, status codes, and headers must align with spec, and any deviation or edge-case failure should be captured.

Your final hand-over will be:
1. An organised Postman collection with all test cases and environment variables.
2. A concise report detailing steps, actual vs. expected results, and any defects found, grouped by endpoint.
3. Repro steps that work from the CLI where applicable, so my team can verify quickly.

If you already work comfortably with Spring Boot, MongoDB, and Postman’s testing scripts, you will slot into this task neatly. Let’s make sure the API is rock-solid before we move to broader performance and security work.
