Job Title: Senior Backend Developer (Fintech) – Spring Boot, Microservices, eWallet/Bank Integrations
Job Description:
We are a fast-growing Fintech company looking for an experienced Backend Developer to join us on a contract/freelance basis. You will be working on a mission-critical platform that handles digital wallets, payment processing, and bank integrations.
You must have a proven track record of at least 5 years of hands-on experience in Fintech environments – not just general backend development. If you have built or maintained eWallet systems or integrated with core banking systems, we want to talk to you.
Scope of Work:
Design, develop, and deploy Spring Boot microservices for high-transaction financial systems.
Integrate with multiple banks (via REST APIs, SOAP, or file-based protocols) for account validation, balance checks, and fund transfers.
Build and maintain eWallet systems (user wallets, transactions, holds, reconciliations).
Work with Oracle Database (PL/SQL, performance tuning, complex joins, transaction isolation levels).
Implement Fintech-specific workflows (KYC/AML checks, dispute handling, ledger entries, settlement & reconciliation).
Ensure security best practices: encryption at rest/in transit, PCI-DSS awareness, OAuth2/JWT, and audit logging.
Write unit/integration tests and participate in code reviews.
Required Experience (Must-Haves):
5+ years of backend development, with at least 3 years specifically in Fintech (banks, payments, wallets, exchanges, or lending).
Spring Boot / Spring Cloud (microservices patterns: service discovery, API gateway, circuit breakers).
Oracle Database (stored procedures, indexes, partitioning, working with financial data consistency).
Hands-on experience with bank integrations.
eWallet integration (balance management, transaction idempotency, virtual ledger).
Strong understanding of financial development workflows (double-entry accounting, reconciliation, reporting, settlement cycles).
Version control (Git), Maven/Gradle, Docker/Kubernetes (nice to have).
Project Details:
Duration: 6–12 months (with potential for extension).
Commitment: 30–40 hours/week for 5 hours/day).
Budget: Please state your monthly or hourly rate in your bid.
Deliverables:
Documented microservices source code (GitHub/GitLab private repo access).
API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger).
