There is a fast-food franchise with 20 stores (number is not important – could be 25 or 25,000) spread all over the country. This fast-food franchise provides a portal application to manage configuration and access via a Front End. This portal application can be used only by registered users.
All users need to be registered (the registration part is outside the scope of this discussion).
Once registered, they will get access to the portal application.
Also note - not all users will have access to all the stores. Users will have well defined roles. For this exercise, you can define two or three roles (example - guest, regular, and super. We will leave it to you).
Also, assume the Front End has ways to create a new user with set number of stores which a user can access.
