Java Spring Web App Revamp

I have an existing Java Spring web application that has been running for a few years and now needs a full refresh. The immediate priorities are:

• Migrating everything to a brand-new server and hosting environment
• Updating all Spring-related code and third-party dependencies to their latest stable releases
• Implementing a handful of new features that have been on my backlog

The current stack is Spring (Boot & MVC), Maven, MySQL and a small front-end in Thymeleaf with a sprinkle of jQuery. The code sits in Git and deploys on a Linux VM, but I’m open to Docker or any modern CI/CD improvements you can suggest during the move. I’ll supply SSH access to the new host plus the existing repository as soon as we start.

Deliverables
1. Clean server setup with the app running securely over HTTPS
2. Updated build file showing all dependency upgrades and passing unit tests
3. New features merged into the main branch and documented in README
4. Brief migration guide so future moves are painless
