Memorial Day Speech
Budget: $250 – $750 USD
The American Legion asked me to give a speech on Memorial Day - May 30, 2022 - in Lynchburg, Tennessee. I will be giving the speech in front of the courthouse on the town’s square. Lynchburg is a very small farm town with one red light. There are many tourists that visit the well known Jack Daniel’s distillery there. I was chosen because I am from Lynchburg, I am a Navy veteran and I am a female business owner. I left Tennessee in 1997 to join the Navy as a dentist after dental school. I moved back to Tennessee in 2009 and opened my Endodontics office. I live in Murfreesboro, which is about 45 minutes north of Lynchburg. My mom still owns property in Lynchburg. My dad used to be the utility manager in Lynchburg and brought county wide trash pick-up to Moore County. My dad passed away in 2007. I graduated from Moore County
High School in 1988. I then attended Motlow Community College followed by Middle Tennessee State University. Then dental school at UT Memphis. For more info about me, you can see my bio at MTEndo.com. There is still a picture of me hanging in the Lynchburg post office in my uniform from officer indoctrination school. Several of my family members have a military background. My dad was in the Navy and did two tours in Vietnam. My father-in-law is retired Air Force, my husband served five years in the Navy after attending the Naval Academy in Annapolis, my brother-in-law is a Colonel in the Army and he attended West Point. I have two cousins that retired from the Navy. I met my husband when I was stationed on the USS Comstock from 1998-2000. I want to talk about the meaning and importance of the Memorial Day holiday. The speech is supposed to be at least ten minutes long! I need help! I want to sound entertaining and professional. I really hope you can make me shine! I can give you more information, but I’m not really sure what you need at this point. There will be no technology - just me and a podium with a microphone.
