Kid's on screen entertainer & teacher (Spanish native only)
Budget: $2 – $3 CAD
This job is entirely remote and can be done from anywhere, but you should have a workspace free from distractions. You do not need formal training for this job. A patient person with a fun personality will get it, regardless of their training or experience. That said, training and experience are preferred.
Who we are:
We are a bilingual education program for kids who want to learn about culture and language through activities and live interaction, primarily for homeschoolers and "unschoolers", aged 3-10.
Your job:
- You will record several "teacher" style youtube videos every day, according to styles and themes we decide on at the beginning of every week. To get an idea, see this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMobsfstvk8. They won't be exactly like this, but this should give you an idea.
- You will meet with children and facilitate 1-on-1 and group "classes" and activities at prescribed times. These are paying customers/clients, so you're dependability and consistency are very important.
- Brainstorm and create fun activities for kids to do on their own and to do with you. We are essentially designing a curriculum for language and cultural lessons.
- Depending on who you are and what you tell us, we may or may not require you to write scripts (either of your own videos or of others on the channel).
- We are primarily looking for someone who can do the above in Spanish, but it would be hugely beneficial if you can do them in both English and Spanish.
Requirements:
- It should be obvious by now, but you'll be in front of the camera in public. Anything you do for us may end up online as a lesson or story for our YouTube channel or website, so you need to be comfortable with that.
- Native Spanish
- Fluent English
- Very fast internet (for uploads and live meetings)
- Computer (for uploads and live meetings)
- Camera or smartphone (Huge bonus if you have a proper DSLR camera, but smartphone will do if you are otherwise the best candidate)
- You must have a quiet work area from from distractions, and where you are able to film–ideally with lots of natural light.
- You must love kids and have a passion for their development
- You must have an uncanny ability to connect and interact with them
- Be organized, punctual, and dependable
- You must be fun
- You must be patient
- You must be creative
- You are generally tech-saavy
Bonus (helpful but not required):
- You have kids education training or certification
- You have experience in graphic design
- You have experience in video editing (we have video editors and this job doesn't necessarily require it, but it would be helpful).
This job is Monday - Saturday, 48 hours per week with 1 hour break in the middle of the day. Someone who can work closer to European hours would be preferred.
