Description:
I am looking for a resourceful and persistent researcher to help locate a working large-format prepress film recorder (Durst or Kodak LVT) anywhere in Europe.
This is a sourcing and investigation task—not a design or creative job.
Target machines:
Durst LVT Rhino
Durst LVT 1620
Kodak LVT Saturn
Scope of work:
You will search across the European market to identify machines that are no longer in active use but may still exist in storage, private ownership, or legacy prepress environments.
This includes:
Contacting prepress companies, print shops, and repro houses
Reaching out to used-equipment dealers and brokers
Searching forums, classifieds, and industry groups
Following leads and referrals (very important)
Do NOT contact companies actively offering digital-to-film services. We are only interested in machines not currently in production use.
Deliverables:
You will maintain a structured list of all outreach and findings, including:
Company / contact name
Location (country, city)
Contact details (phone/email)
Machine model (if applicable)
Condition / status (working, stored, unknown)
Asking price (if available)
Notes / source of lead
Acceptance criteria:
A clear, organized report of all contacted leads
Evidence of active outreach (calls/messages, not just web links)
High-quality leads prioritized over quantity
Bonus:
If you successfully identify a working machine for sale within Europe and provide a valid contact, you will receive a €1 000 bonus.
