Experienced Product Sourcing Specialist Needed For Oversized T-shirt Clothing

We are looking for an experienced Product Sourcing Specialist to handle all aspects of sourcing materials and overseeing production for our oversized t-shirt line. The ideal candidate will have deep connections within the textile and garment manufacturing industry, strong negotiation skills, and a keen eye for quality control. This role requires expertise in fabric selection, vendor management, and the ability to ensure that each piece meets our brand’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplier Identification and Vetting:
Identify and evaluate reliable manufacturers specializing in oversized t-shirts, focusing on Vet suppliers based on quality, reliability, ethical practices, and pricing to ensure they align with values and standards.
Fabric and Material Sourcing:
Research and recommend high-quality fabric options that meet our aesthetic and functional requirements, such as 100% cotton or blended fabrics with the right GSM (grams per square meter) for durability and comfort.Coordinate sampling rounds and ensure fabric options align with our retro-inspired style and oversized fit.
Quality Assurance and Sample Coordination:
Manage the sampling process with selected manufacturers, overseeing quality, fit, and design elements to ensure they meet specifications.Conduct regular quality checks on samples and bulk production to guarantee consistency and adherence to standards.
Cost Negotiation and Order Management:
Negotiate favorable terms, pricing, and minimum order quantities (MOQs) with suppliers to optimize costs while maintaining high-quality standards.Oversee purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of samples and bulk orders.
Sustainability and Ethical Compliance:
Ensure all sourcing and production processes align with our commitment to sustainability and ethical practices.Identify eco-friendly fabric options and assess supplier compliance with industry standards for environmental and social responsibility.
Production Timeline Management:
Develop and monitor production schedules with manufacturers, ensuring deadlines are met for both sampling and bulk production.Communicate regularly with the team to provide updates on production status, potential delays, and strategies for timeline optimization.
