Chinese Pressed Sofa Sourcing Partner

Pressed sofas will be the core of a new Belgian brand I’m launching, and the entire supply chain will be steered from China. I need a seasoned sourcer on the ground who can locate factories that already specialise in pressed-sofa technology and can meet three non-negotiables: fully customisable designs, high durability, and proven use of eco-friendly materials.

Your mission starts with mapping the market: identify and vet manufacturers that match these criteria, secure catalogues, basic tech sheets, and indicative FOB pricing, then arrange sample production once short-listed. Because the long-term plan is to appoint a logistics manager in China, you will also evaluate each factory’s in-house or affiliated logistics capabilities (warehouse proximity to ports, packaging standards, export documentation, etc.) and outline how they can integrate into a consolidated shipping flow to Belgium.

Deliverables
• A comparison matrix of at least five qualified factories including capacity, MOQ, lead times, certifications, sustainability practises, and customisation options.
• Photo and video documentation of production lines plus real-time quality-control notes.
• Sample sofas—one baseline model and one fully customised variant—shipped to Belgium with tracking details.
• End-to-end logistics proposal covering consolidation, palletisation, incoterms, and estimated door-to-door transit times.

Acceptance criteria: every factory listed must confirm the ability to deliver pressed sofas that withstand 30,000 Martindale cycles, use FSC-certified wood or equivalent eco materials, and allow design tweaks without tooling surcharges beyond agreed thresholds.

Regular updates through WeChat or WhatsApp are fine; bilingual reporting (English and Chinese) is a plus.
