China Cosmetic Packaging Sourcing & Export Specialist (End-to-End)
I’m building an early-stage premium haircare/cosmetics brand in India and am looking for an experienced freelancer who can handle the end-to-end sourcing of cosmetic packaging bottles from China, including supplier identification, commercial negotiation, sampling, production coordination, and export/logistics support until dispatch.
I need someone with real experience working with Chinese packaging suppliers for cosmetic or personal care brands. The focus is on primary packaging such as bottles, pumps, caps, sprayers, and related components suitable for premium haircare/cosmetics products.
Scope of work:
• Source and shortlist reliable Chinese suppliers for cosmetic / haircare bottles and components
• Identify suppliers for bottles, pumps, caps, sprayers, closures, and related packaging parts
• Communicate directly with suppliers to collect and verify details such as MOQ, pricing, customization options, lead times, sample timelines, printing/decor options, tooling requirements, and export experience
• Negotiate with suppliers on pricing, MOQ, sampling, timelines, and commercial terms where possible
• Coordinate sampling, revisions, and production follow-ups
• Support end-to-end export coordination, including packing details, shipping readiness, dispatch planning, and communication with the supplier until goods are handed over for shipment
• Guide on shipping documents, export process, and supplier-side coordination needed for smooth delivery to India
• Compare suppliers based on quality, responsiveness, cost, customization ability, lead time, and reliability
• Maintain a clear comparison sheet in Excel / Google Sheets
• Flag risks such as high MOQ, long lead times, weak communication, quality concerns, or export/logistics issues
• Share concise recommendations on the best supplier options
What I’m looking for:
• Proven experience sourcing cosmetic or personal care packaging from China
• Strong understanding of packaging components such as bottles, pumps, sprayers, caps, and closures
• Experience handling supplier communication, MOQ negotiation, sampling, production coordination, and export process support
• Strong research, communication, and comparison skills
• Ability to work independently and present options clearly
• Experience supporting skincare, haircare, beauty, or D2C brands is strongly preferred
