Backyard Acoustic Concert Engineer

Job ID: 40486438

Budget: $25 – $35 USD

I’m hosting an intimate acoustic concert for fewer than 50 guests in my backyard and need an experienced live-sound engineer to make sure every note carries clearly without overpowering the setting.

The space is open-air but compact, so I’m looking for someone who can:
• WE own a suitably sized PA, a small-format mixer, microphones, mic stands and a couple of monitors and speakers
• Handle full setup, line-check, and soundcheck for the acoustic performers.
• Ride the faders during the show to balance vocals and instruments, keeping volume comfortable for a neighborhood setting.
• Assist with breakdown and storage of the gear afterward and verify nothing is left behind or damaged.

You should be comfortable mixing acoustic acts in outdoor environments, understand feedback control in close quarters, and arrive with all necessary cables, DI boxes, and basic troubleshooting tools.

Please tell me about similar small-scale outdoor gigs you’ve mixed, the core gear you’d bring or suggest, and any questions you have about layout or schedule. I’m ready to lock in the right engineer quickly so we can coordinate logistics and let the musicians focus on their performance.
