Video Editor for Vintage Motorcycle YouTube Channel
Budget: $25 – $50 USD
About the Project: We are launching a new YouTube channel dedicated to the rich history, culture, and untold stories of vintage motorcycle builders and riders. This is not a standard review or talking-head channel. Our goal is to create realistic, approachable, documentary-style narratives that make motorcycle history come alive.
We are looking for a consultative and collaborative video editor to help us build this visual identity from the ground up. We plan to produce 20 to 70 videos over the next 24 months, offering the right candidate a consistent, long-term partnership.
What You’ll Do:
Long-Form Editing: Transform raw footage, interviews, and historical assets into compelling, well-paced stories (typically 5–15 minute videos.
Short-Form Creation: Repurpose long-form episodes into engaging, high-retention vertical shorts for YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels.
Sound Design & Pacing: Use music, ambient sound, and archival audio to build tension, nostalgia, and excitement.
Collaboration: Act as a creative partner in the early stages, offering feedback on pacing, hook strategy, and visual style.
The Ideal Candidate:
A Natural Storyteller: You understand pacing, character arcs, and how to keep an audience hooked without relying on cheap transitions or over-the-top graphics.
Culturally Aligned: You have a genuine appreciation for motorcycle culture, vintage machinery, or gritty, human-centric documentary filmmaking.
Autonomous & Detail-Oriented: You can take a vision and run with it, bringing your own creative flair to the timeline.
Experienced: Proficient in Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro, with a portfolio that showcases narrative flow and strong sound design.
Project Scope & Logistics:
Volume: Anticipate 2-3 long-form videos per month, plus accompanying shorts.
Assets Provided: Clean A-roll, high-quality B-roll, basic script outlines, and brand assets.
Compensation: Competitive per-project rate, hourly ($20 - $50 p/hour), or monthly retainer based on experience.
How to Apply: Please submit your portfolio or a link to your reel. Crucial: Point us toward at least one specific video you edited that showcases your ability to tell a compelling story or capture a specific subculture/vibe.
