Complete audio system for a family entertainment centre
Budget: $10,000 – $20,000 USD
We are seeking a skilled professional to design, select and specify equipment and cabling, supervise the installation of, test and debug a complete audio system for our large (over 40,000 square feet) Family Entertainment Center. The centre has 15 distinct areas which need to be addressed individually or as a group. For example, if the big ball game is on it might run in every area. If there is a birthday party in room 2, we might need to run a movie in that room only.
The system must be able to provide reasonably good sound quality. We are not looking to impress audiophiles but neither are we willing to hear any electronic distortions and noises.
There are physical difficulties to overcome such as very large, 100 feet + high atriums inside the premises and certain activities that generate different kinds of noise; from the crashing sounds of a bowling ball to the incessant noise of 100+ arcade games and to the sound of all-too-loud waiters.
Primary Use: supply the audio feed to 26 individual video displays. Some are very large LED displays and some are regular TVs.
Secondary uses will be for paging and for background music in certain areas.
We have no preferred audio brand and expect our selected candidate to recommend the most appropriate products and wiring for our needs.
Skills and Experience Required:
- Expertise in designing and installing audio systems for large spaces
- Knowledge of various audio equipment brands and their capabilities
- Ability to assess the acoustics of the entertainment center and make recommendations accordingly
- Experience in integrating audio systems with other components of a family entertainment center, such as lighting and visual effects
- Strong troubleshooting skills to quickly address any technical issues that may arise
- Attention to detail to ensure that the audio system is properly calibrated for optimal sound quality throughout the facility
The selected candidate will have to come to Montreal, Canada before commencing the project to fully understand the project and the related issues as well as to spend the necessary time during the installation, commissioning and debugging of the system. Over and above the quoted price we will pay a per-diem for all days spent in Montreal. You will need to add your travel costs to your price.
