Cinematic Business Documentary Video Editing

We’re looking for a skilled video editor to bring long-form business documentary content to life for a growing YouTube channel covering corporate history, fraud cases, and founder exposés (think MagnatesMedia, Company Man, ColdFusion style). You’ll receive a finished script and professional voiceover — your job is to transform it into a gripping, cinematic 30–35 minute documentary.
Responsibilities
* Edit full-length episodes (30min) using provided voiceover + script
* Source and integrate real/archival footage, stock clips, and relevant B-roll
* Add sound design and SFX (tension builders, transitions, ambient layers) to enhance narrative pacing
* Incorporate lower-thirds, text overlays, subtle motion graphics, and data visualizations where needed
* Color grade for a consistent, premium documentary look
* Sync pacing tightly with narration for maximum retention (YouTube audience retention curve awareness a plus)
* Deliver polished final cuts ready for upload, in English
Requirements
* Proven experience editing long-form YouTube documentaries or similar narrative content
* Strong sense of pacing, tension-building, and visual storytelling
* Skilled in sourcing free/licensed stock and archival footage
* Proficiency in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar
* Sound design/SFX capability (not just editing picture)
* Portfolio required — please share 1–2 samples of similar documentary-style work or reel
* Comfortable working with English-language content for a US audience
* Reliable turnaround and clear communication
