Trailer frame FEA and weight reduction
Budget: $250 – $750 CAD
We are a new startup off-road travel trailer manufacturing company. I have a trailer frame already designed in Solidworks, an FEA analysis, and we've already built the prototype.
We realized how heavy the trailer was, and we are looking to reduce the weight of the trailer. My designer already made some changes, but we wanted to have an engineer look it over and confirm everything is strong and safe.
To conclude, we are looking for the following:
- FEA to check on any stresses of the frame with assistance from existing FEA
- Any and all ideas for reducing the trailer frame weight
- Any and all ideas to add strengthening where needed.
I have the STEP file for the frame ready.
