Solidworks Designer Needed for Fixture Creation
Budget: $2 – $8 CAD
I'm looking for a seasoned mechanical designer to create a small fixture in Solidworks. This fixture will be used for holding metal components, specifically a cylinder with a diameter of 0.136'' and a length of 0.032''.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design a fixture that can accurately hold components for measuring purposes within a vision measurement system.
- Ensure the design is robust enough to securely hold the specified parts.
- Design the fixture to accommodate swappable components.
- Create a detailed 3D model of the fixture using Solidworks.
- Select appropriate materials to achieve mechanical stability and durability.
- Perform tolerance analysis to ensure the fixture meets precise measurement requirements.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Full proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) is crucial.
- Solidworks expertise is a must.
- Prior experience sourcing components from McMaster-Carr.
- Strong background in mechanical design.
Please share relevant examples of your past work. Successful completion of this small validation task could lead to collaboration on larger projects.
