Precise STEP Model for Manufacturing

I need a production-ready 3D model of a single mechanical part. The file you hand back must open flawlessly as a STEP (.stp/.step) file and carry every exact dimension and tolerance I specify, because the part goes straight to machining once I approve it.

Here’s how I see the workflow: I will send you sketches, reference photos, and a brief table of critical dimensions. You translate that into a fully constrained, parametric CAD model in the software of your choice—SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion 360, or similar—and export the finished geometry to STEP. Every feature that influences fit or function must reflect its true size; for instance, hole diameters, thread pitches, counterbores, and mating surfaces all need their stated tolerances. If you spot manufacturability issues, flag them early so we can adjust before final sign-off.

Deliverables
• Native CAD file (so I can make minor changes later)
• STEP file that mirrors the native model exactly
• Simple 2D reference drawing noting the key tolerances called out in the model

I will do a quick DFM check with my supplier; if anything is off-spec, I’ll send notes and expect one round of updates at no extra cost. If this first project runs smoothly, there’s more work in the pipeline.
