My company Quimper Bike Components, based in Victoria, BC, is seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer or Gear Specialist to finalize the design of a high-density, compound planetary human-powered bicycle gearbox. This system is specifically engineered for high-torque, human-powered mountain biking, focusing on efficiency for steep mountain climbs.

Responsibilities:
Design and organize a complete STEP file including the gearbox, shifter, cranks, front chainring and rear chainring, Ensuring smooth power flow across all 16 speeds, optimizing for high-density packaging within standard bicycle frame constraints. You must also create a 5-minute explainer video detailing the internal logic, power flow paths for specific gears, and mechanical advantages so the Quimper Bike Components team may understand your model.

Required Skills
-Expertise in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Fusion 360.
-Deep understanding of Planetary Gear Sets and compound gear logic.
-Experience in Drivetrain Design or automotive/bicycle engineering.

Compensation & Rewards:
-Initial Pay: $200 CAD, Remember, we are a startup.
-A signed Royalty Agreement of $5/unit (capped at $50K)
