Mold Clearance Semi-Auto Tool
Budget: $30 – $250 CAD
I'm looking for a skilled engineer or product designer to create a tool that assists with the semi-automatic removal of large plastic pieces, each more than 3 inches in size, that are frozen to the back of a plastic mold. Plastic bunny forms at the back of the tool where injection unit pushes the material into the mold. Often, when nozzle is not properly aligned with sprue hold it will leak over the time and form huge bunny around the nozzle. Rhe only way to remove it is either break it with pri bar or remove the tool and put the tool back in the press.
This porcess is time consuming. So, im looking to design some sort of tool which can heat up to 200 C temp at tip to melt the plastic around the locating ring and rest should be broken with vibration. So, we dont need to pull the tool every time it happens.
Im attaching the picture it will help to undedstand
Requirements include:
- Experience in industrial tool design, particularly for plastic molds.
- Knowledge of both manual and semi-automatic mechanical systems.
- Ability to produce design schematics and, if possible, prototype manufacturing.
The tool design should:
- Incorporate semi-automatic mechanisms with manual control elements.
- Preserve the integrity of the plastic mold during removal.
- Be ergonomically designed for ease of use and efficiency.
Ideal Skills:
- Mechanical Engineering
- Product Design
- CAD/CAM
- Prototyping
- Knowledge of Mold Design
Experience in similar projects is a substantial bonus. I'm looking forward to reviewing proposals that can meet these needs with innovation and reliability.
