Mechatronics Assembly Development Project
Budget: €12 – €18 EUR
Machine Assembly for Receiving and Flattening Recyclable Items
This is a project to fully develop an electromechanical assembly that can:
- Receive certain recyclable items
- Measure weight and determine if the item is metallic or not
- Open a trap door to let the item fall through to a Flattening Chamber
- Where the item is crushed/flattened for reduced size.
The project deliverables are:
- Detailed design drawings of all parts in Solidworks (readable by SW 2018)
- Specifications of all required actuators, including sources and costs
- A Functional Prototype, which may be quoted separately.
This project will require ongoing communication with the employer during the term of the project.
A specification for the project is attached along with two sample videos illustrating the type of flattener that is desired.
