Mechanical Engineer for Product Design

Key Responsibilities:
Develop detailed 3D models using CAD software (SolidWorks or similar).

Create 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) for precision manufacturing.

Ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles are applied to optimize part production.

Generate technical drawings, assembly instructions, and BOMs (Bill of Materials).

Review and refine designs based on tolerance stack-up analysis.

Produce exploded-view animations, assembly videos, and technical illustrations for product documentation.

Collaborate with manufacturers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility.

Perform design modifications based on feedback, prototyping, and testing results.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks preferred, but other software acceptable).

Strong expertise in 2D drafting, GD&T (ASME Y14.5), and manufacturing drawings.

Knowledge of tolerance analysis and DFM best practices.

Experience in creating technical animations/videos (e.g., SOLIDWORKS Composer, Blender, or similar).

Familiarity with sheet metal, machining, injection molding, and fabrication processes.

Ability to interpret engineering sketches, prototypes, and client requirements.

Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
Background in product development, prototyping, or tooling design.

Knowledge of FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and simulation tools.

Certification in GD&T or relevant CAD software.
