Lightweight Aluminium Mechanical CAD Part Design
Budget: $10 – $30 USD
My project involves creating a CAD file of an existing part I have on hand. This part is currently made of metal and plays a vital role as a mechanical component. In order to optimize this part, I wish to have it recreated using a lighter material, specifically aluminum 7075 or stronger, maybe titanium of cost allows it.
The freelancer taking on this task must have:
- Expertise in CAD design
- A strong background in mechanical components
- Knowledge on how to translate metal components to aluminium equivalents
- Experience with manufacturing processes would be beneficial
Your role will be to replicate the part's design in CAD, taking into account the properties and constraints of aluminum versus the original metal. The ultimate goal is to maintain the part's function and integrity, while reducing its overall weight. If in the US I would prefer to send you the original part.
