Expert Mechanical Engineer Needed for Challenging CNC Machine Spindle Redesign

We are seeking an exceptional mechanical engineer with extensive experience in SOLIDWORKS design and a proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects to undertake a challenging redesign of a CNC 3 axis flatbed gantry machine spindle. This project involves replacing the current manual tool change spindle with an Automatic Tool Change (ATC) spindle and designing a toolholder that can be installed on the existing machine using standard parts readily available on AliExpress or can be manufactured using aluminum on a CNC or plasma machine.
The successful candidate must be able to engineer the toolholder, redesign the spindle mount, and incorporate a dust suction system that will work seamlessly with the ATC spindle. Additionally, the design must include a probe that can be mounted on the Z-axis to facilitate probing and setting 0 points. The design for the probe already exists, but the freelancer will need to reinforce it to ensure its compatibility with the new spindle and toolholder.
We are only looking for experts with proven skills in mechanical engineering and SOLIDWORKS design. The project is complex and will require a deep understanding of the current machine's components and how they interact with the new spindle design. The successful candidate must have a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver a functional and reliable design that meets our strict quality standards.
