Design of a Cylinder with Retention System for Abrasive Strips
Budget: €30 – €250 EUR
I'm looking for an industrial designer or mechanical engineer to create a 3D model in SolidWorks of a specialized cylinder for abrasive applications, suitable for 3D printing in PETG. Key specifications are as follows:
Dimensions: Cylinder with a 100 mm diameter and 260 mm length, composed of two parts – one fixed and one movable.
Retention Mechanism: The design should allow a 3-degree rotation of the movable part to open slots for inserting abrasive strips (1 mm thick). Rotating in the opposite direction should close the slots, securely holding the strips in place.
Ease of Maintenance: The cylinder must allow for easy replacement of worn abrasive strips by rotating to open the slots and enable quick swapping.
Deliverables include detailed CAD models and technical drawings in SolidWorks. Candidates with experience in retention mechanisms and quick replacement systems are preferred.
