Concrete Mixer Locking Mechanism CAD Design

Job ID: 39330491

Budget: $250 – $750 USD

Slamtransportøren AS seeks a skilled CAD engineer to design a 3D model, assembly, and technical drawings for a locking mechanism to seal a rotating concrete mixer drum (Ø1100 mm opening). The system enables controlled opening/closing via a sliding lid driven by a trapezoidal threaded rod. Key components include:
Lid: Ø1100 mm, 12 mm thick S355 steel plate with a 3 mm deep, 10 mm wide groove (Ø1090 mm) for a rubber gasket and four Ø12 mm holes (149 mm x 149 mm square pattern).

Steel cross: Two 50x100x3 mm, 1200 mm long S355 steel profiles in a plus-sign (+), with a Ø90 mm central hole for an M50 nut.

Flat iron: Four 100x30x600 mm S355 steel bars, each with two countersunk Ø12 mm holes (40 mm and 80 mm from end) for bolting to brackets.

Brackets: Four 100x30x100 mm S355 steel brackets welded to the drum at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, each with two Ø12 mm holes to bolt to flat irons.

Other components: M50 trapezoidal threaded rod (800 mm), M50 nut, self-aligning ball bearing, eight M12x50 mm high-strength bolts, and a 10 mm wide, 3.42 m long rubber gasket.
The lid slides 600 mm on flat irons, driven by the threaded rod through the cross’s nut. Flat irons are bolted to brackets and welded to the cross during installation. The system rotates with the drum. Total mass: ~157.38 kg.

We need precise 3D models, a functional assembly, and manufacturing-ready drawings. The project requires proficiency in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Fusion 360, with experience in mechanical assemblies and GD&T.
Deliverables:
3D part models for all components (9 unique parts: lid, cross, flat iron, bracket, threaded rod, nut, bearing, bolt, gasket).

Assembly model showing 600 mm lid travel and threaded rod motion.

Technical drawings for each part and assembly, including dimensions, tolerances (±0.1 mm for holes/grooves, ±1 mm for cuts), and bill of materials (BOM).

Files in native CAD format (e.g., .sldprt, .sldasm), STEP/IGES, and PDF (drawings).

Mass property report verifying ~157.38 kg total mass.
