3D CAD model of a 1U Cubesat with components to capture earth orbit
Budget: $30 – $250 USD
Task Tile: Design simple 1U CubeSat
The Objectives are listed below:
1- Design a simple 3D CAD Model of a 1U CubeSat using Solidworks or Catia. (explain in details)
2- State the components of the model.
3- Perform mechanical analysis (Optional to add. If added, use any associate case scenario)
4- Type of testing require for the mechanical parts.
5- 2D drawing with simple technical details.
6- Create an assembly procedure of the 1U CubeSat.
7- List four factors to consider or more, when deciding to make a mechanical part. (Give a brief explanation of each point)
8- List general mechanical hardware/tools and their usage for 1U CubeSat
Note:
the 1U Cubesat model should be a (Simple mechanical box Frame and Frame cover). If you want to add ONE SUB-ASSEMBLY (Inner components) you can but you have to perform at least one analysis (Stress, Heatflux). AVOID complex shapes such as antenna, thrusters...etc. instead you can add PCB board.
