? Job Description: CAD Design for Plumbing Patent Prototypes
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical or Plumbing CAD Engineer to create detailed CAD drawings and prototype-ready files based on two existing U.S. plumbing-related patents. These designs will be used to develop working prototypes for innovative plumbing systems.

? Project Overview
You will be working from the original patent documents (drawings and descriptions), as exact dimensions are not provided. The goal is to translate these concepts into functional 3D CAD models and provide feedback on their mechanical feasibility and potential improvements.

? Patents to Be Modeled
US 8,893,321 – Anti-Rotation Drain Assembly
Link to Patent

A drainage system that prevents unwanted rotation during installation using a spigot-and-recess design.

US 9,388,558 – Hydraulically Controlled ¼-Turn Valve
Link to Patent

A water valve system that uses water pressure for automatic control, eliminating the need for electronics.

? Responsibilities
Review patent drawings and written descriptions.

Create 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for both systems using tools such as AutoCAD, Fusion 360, FreeCAD, or SolidWorks.

Generate prototype-ready files suitable for 3D printing or machining.

Suggest technical improvements or design refinements if needed.

Provide your professional opinion on feasibility and market potential, especially for plumbing applications.

✅ Requirements
Strong experience with mechanical or plumbing system design.

Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Fusion 360, FreeCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).

Familiarity with hydraulics, valves, and drainage components.

Ability to work from patent drawings without precise dimensions.

Good communication skills for occasional check-ins or clarifications.

? Deliverables
CAD files (.STEP, .DWG, or .STL as needed).

Technical drawings with annotations.

Notes or recommendations for design feasibility and functionality.
