Custom RS-485 Cable Fabrication
Budget: $250 – $750 AUD
I need four RS-485 cables built, each 1.5 m long. One end of every cable terminates in the six-pin military-grade male Amphenol connector P/N 10-101987-103; the opposite end remains unterminated so I can finish the installation on site. I will provide a clear pin-to-lead map that shows exactly where every conductor must be soldered inside the connector shell.
Cable requirements
• Conductor & shield: match AlphaWire 6452 spec or a very close equivalent.
• Jacket: PVC insulation preferred.
• Environment: the finished assemblies will sit inside flexible metal conduit (LPT 12) yet still face normal outdoor temperature swings and humidity, so workmanship must withstand moderate vibration and moisture ingress.
• No formal certifications are required, but reliable continuity and shield integrity are essential.
Deliverables
• 4 fully assembled, continuity-tested cables.
• Simple test sheet showing pin-to-pin verification and shield resistance for each unit.
• Secure, padded packaging for shipment to me.
